New York City Opera, famously dubbed "The People's Opera"
by Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, at its founding in 1943 filed for bankruptcy after being the opera world darling for 70 years. Fast forward to 2016 and they have made a miraculous comeback. This spec project was in anticipation of their return, with the "spoiler alerts" campaign intensifying NYC Opera's edge and growing its loyal following with the brilliance of opera storytelling.  Opening night  feature "La Boheme" broadcast throughout bus shelters across the city and in Times Square bringing "The People's Opera" back to the people.
